Web Development
After developing a cartoon using Adobe Flash, I ventured into the actionscripting world and developed code for several websites. I also learned HTML, CSS, and a little bit of PHP on the way.
This first sample was designed for MADtv cast member Arden Myrin. Dylan Stewart, a colleague of mine at MADtv, conceptualized the beautiful design. He gave me the assets, and I coded away in AS3 giving it the functionality. I built the site with ease of updating in mind. All text, photos, and videos can be added and removed simply by supporting XML files.
This website belongs to music composer Greg OConnor. Dylan Stewart designed the website, however he needed a custom built flash MP3 player that fit Greg’s needs. So, I coded the player from the ground up including a visual equalizer and xml driven playlists. Feel free to visit Greg’s site and test the player.
This website belongs to another MADtv alum – Anjelah Nicole Johnson. This was the first AS3 site I developed. Another one of my coworkers at MADtv, John Martini, designed the site .
Dylan Stewart designed and coded the framework for Jeff Cutter’s website. This was my first venture into pure HTML coding, and it was a delight. I expanded the website to include an additional category and pulled and formatted the screenshots for the videos.
Now this site I both coded AND designed. I used the Wordpress engine – what beautiful and easy to use software! Not satisfied with simply modifying a preexisting theme, I conceptualized the design and dug into the PHP, CSS, and HTML to build my own Wordpress theme. Simple, clean, and easy to update via Wordpress, I’m quite happy with this one.
